I am now very excited to listen to this Steve Hillage record. I’ve dabbled a little but don’t know this one. Camel is one of the underrated greats of prog.

so far a light summer of music planned with Billy S mid May, Phish festival & Dicks. but will fill in some spots as needed.

Oh man, the Hillage is great. Like I said, the version on streaming adds a bunch of stuff (none of it bad, some great) but the journey on the original LP is tidier and more impactful, I think.

I've tried to get into BS but my tolerance for bluegrass turns out to be 5 minutes for every 12 months so I'll leave that for others to enjoy. Hope the phest is cool, I have to admit the location renders any potential FOMO toothless but I'm sure there will be some heaters. For me, 3 nights at Bethel is gonna be the true old school Phish-in-the-woods vibe I wanted out of a festival.

Have you tried the As We Speak album by Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer/Zakir Hussain/Rakesh Chaurasia? Bluegrass elements but blended with tabla and flute.
